Practical AI literacy and digital discernment for students in grades 6–8.
Human-led. Beginner-friendly. Responsible by design.
AI in everyday life; algorithms and recommendations; prompting; research and
brainstorming; misinformation and bias; fact-checking and verification; privacy; attribution; deepfakes and
manipulated media; creator culture; personal voice and judgment.
Discussion, debate, supervised demonstrations, content analysis, prompt practice, creative
projects, and age-appropriate reflection. This is not a coding class and not a general-chatbot free-for-all.
Students learn that just because technology makes something possible does not mean it should
be done. The program directly addresses impersonation, bullying, revenge content, fake screenshots/accounts,
manipulated images/voices, academic dishonesty, privacy, and digital responsibility.
90-minute core class with optional 30-minute lab. Small group. In person during the Connecticut pilot
unless an online cohort is specifically formed.
Join the interest list. We will group families by grade, schedule, geography, and format preference,
then confirm the first cohort details before enrollment/payment.
